CDF’2008: Tauchen am Hausriff des Curaçao Habitat

Das Curacao Habitat ist ein am südlichen Teil der Insel gelegenes Resort – die Anlage ist einsam und isoliert in eine Bucht gebaut, überrascht aber durch ihren Standard. Eine Poollandschaft, schönes Hotel-Design und vor allem: eine super schöne Tauchbasis an einem sehr ergiebigen Hausriff.

Ein entlegenes Schmuckstück

Zur Abschlussfeier des Dive Festivals, waren wir im Curacao Habitat Resort – und weil wir bereits vom Hausriff des Habitats gehört hatten, sind wir etwas früher gekommen, um dort einen kleinen Tauchgang einzulegen. Andi war mit Fisheye unterwegs und Serge mit Makro – damit wir nach nur einem Tauchgang eine möglichst Objektive Beurteilung abgeben können. Das lustige war, dass wir nach dem Tauchgang beide die Meinung hatten, die richtige bzw. bessere Wahl getroffen zu haben. Fest steht: Das Riff eignet sich sehr gut für einen späten Nachmittagstauchgang, weil der Lichteinfall dann viele schöne Weitwinkelmotive mit Sonnenbällen bietet. Was wir auch festgestellt haben (vielleicht nur ein persönlicher Eindruck) – die Fluchtdistanz der Fische war sehr gering.

Auch sehr schön ist, dass die Tauchbasis selbst mit Stegen über die Bucht verlängert ist und einen bequemen Einstieg für Hausrifftaucher bietet. Und ein weiteres Plus: Es sind ein Tauchboot und Nitrox vorhanden. Der Tauchbetrieb machte einen sehr gut organisierten Eindruck und die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm.
