Sealux announces the CC5II Housing for the Canon 5D Mark II, providing the photographer with access to all controls and featuring maximum reliability, ease of operation, perfect grip handles and minimal dimensions. Large O-rings, double seal shafts and sealed keys guarantee the highest degree of reliability possible. The camera is precision-guided on a special slide and fitted inside the front part of the housing, thereby excluding fitting errors. Replacing the memory card does not require camera removal and the housing's grip, mounted at the front, was designed to be adjustable and detachable for transport purposes.
With the DC-600uw AgfaPhoto presents a waterproof digital compact camera that promises easy fun in the pool. The camera shoots videos that can be directly uploaded to youtube to share your latest water fun with your friends. The camera has digital zoom (5x) and a ISO range of 100-1600. The camera is also suitable for any other outdoor activity like mountain biking or surfing.
The list of waterproof digital compact cameras is growing. Pentax just has announced the Optio W80, an outdoor compact camera camera, that is certified waterproof at depths of up to 5 meters for two hours. More over it is shockproof for drops of up to 1m. With it's 12.1MP image sensor, an 5x optical zoom and a 2.5" LCD it is certainly interesting for underwater snapshots. Additionally the Pentax Optio W80 allows HD movie recording (1280x720) and Pixel Track digital Shake Reduction tries to enhance images in low light condition.
Fantasea Line announces the release of two new housings, specially designed for compact digital cameras that hit the market just recently: the Nikon Coolpix L19 and L20, as well as the Canon PowerShot A480. Fantasea also releases a selection of BigEye Wide Angle Lenses, featuring innovative configurations and a breakthrough technology. Universal design and adaptor configurations provide a wide angle solution for compact cameras equipped with a large zoom lens, as the Canon G10, Fuji F200 and most other compact digital camera housings in the market.
Marty Snyderman, Barry Guimbellot, and Eric Cheng just announced a very helpful tool for everyone who is serious
about managing large collection of underwater images taken with his digital camera. The plugin for Apple's Aperture and
Adobe's Lightroom helps to classify images with keywords for over 12,000 marine species. Keywords include kingdom,
phylum, class, order, family and other sub-categories.
Today was the first day of the “Aphrodite” Cyprus Experience, an international underwater photography event first held in Larnaka, Cyprus. The winners of the competition, who will be announced on June 6th, will get the chance to come back home with some valuable prizes, including cash prizes (which sum up to 17,000 Euro), unique dive trips to dreamy destinations, expensive underwater photography equipment, diving gear and more.

Canon has released new firmware versions for the EOS 50D, EOS 450D (Rebel XSi) and EOS 1000D (Rebel XS) digital SLRs. The updates are mainly related to the use of the camera in combination with the Speedlight 270 EX flash, except for the Canon EOS 50D. The update for the Canon EOS 50 addresses banding issues and specifically the "vertical banding noise phenomenon". Aquatica announced a new video underwater housing for the current Sony HDR-SR11/12 and the NEW Sony HDR-XR500V/520V HD camcorders. The housing comes with a 30 degree angled viewfinder for the large 3.2" LCD display of the camcorders and allows access to all important camcorder functions including the manual white balance. The manual white balance is especially helpful in combination with the flip filter Arm with UR Pro blue water color correction filter that this housing offers.
Fantasea Line just announced a new solid polycarbonate housing for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS / Digital IXUS 95 IS, which is also compatible to the Canon PowerShot SD1100 / Digital IXUS 80 IS and the Canon Powershot SD770 IS / Digital IXUS 85 IS. It offers a removable flash diffuser and a 46mm threaded lens port together with a anti-glare hood over the LCD screen and access to all controls.

Watershot has announced a new housing for the Canon 450D dslr camera. The aluminium body housing supports S-TTL and DS-TTL through fiber optical strobe connections, which are compatible with the INON Z-240, D-2000 series, and Sea & Sea YS-110a strobes. The standard kit includes the housing, a standard flat port, 18-55 zoom gear, a hand strap, two optical strobe ports and a 1 year warranty.
Aquatica announced two new housings for DSLR cameras. One for the Canon 5D MK II and one for the Nikon D90. The Canon 5D MK II housing is equipped with a hydrophone and grants access to all vital video functions of the camera. The controls on the backside of the housings have been angled to ease operating them. The Nikon housing offers extended on/off levers to make them easier to reach. On the top of the housing there is now a knob to change the flash mode and the exposure compensation. As with all housings from Aquatica these both housings can be operated to a depth of 90m.
