Good so far!!! I am enjoying this camera very much. I just recieved it today and am very satisfied. This camera is very easy to use, and the battery power is great(compared to other easyshares) I like the settings and are very interesting to use. I think it has many options that the human person would like all for 100 dollars or below. It has optical zoom which is great.
Wonderful Digital CameraThis camera comes with a punch when it comes to the features it comes with especially for the price tag that it has. The Digital Camera takes beautiful pictures and quality video. All the settings that the camera has are very simple to understand and figure out. Most Digital Camera's in this price range usually don't even come with an optical zoom, and this thing comes with that, I like that very much. For the price you really can't go wrong, you will be very satisfied when you buy this thing. If your going to buy this camera I recommend buying at least a 512 SD/MMC Memory card if you take alot of pictures and would like to record long length videos.
PROS: Takes beautiful clear pictures Lots of Settings and features Great Price tag for what your getting Many accessories available (Printer Docking Station, Docking Station,Etc.) For the price it comes with an optical zoom Able to crop and edit photos directly from the camera Great battery life CONS: When taking video you can only view it on the camera without sound, but when you upload it to your computer you can hear the sound with the video, but for what your getting it's really not a big deal. |
this was the worst purchase i've ever madeTHE CAMERA IS HORRIBLE. During the software instalation my computer crashed. I'm trying for hours to repair the damage that the camera's software made om my computer. The purchase couldn't have been worse. If you want an advice: don't make the mistake of buying this camera.
So far so good, but....My only complaint about this camera is the battery life. I have had it for a week and already gone through 8 batteries. (it takes 2 AA)
I was also surprised that it didn't come with a media card, but was able to purchase a 1GB for $15. No case either. The camera is great though. Great Videos, great quality photos and great price! |
Lotta Bang for the Buck - But...For the price and features there are very few other choices, if any, to consider at this time in history.
With that said, here are the Cons: No Eye-piece viewfinder. Hard on batteries. Since the camera does not have a lense to look through, nor the ability to turn off the LCD screen, this causes this little gem to eat batteries with a passion. No Zoom during the video record mode. (at this point I am searching for more cons...hmmm.) Okay.. no A/C Adapter feature available. Not a big problem since, (and here's another small peeve) - there is only 16 MB of RAM internally, most of your data will be going to an SD Media Card. You can buy a good cheap USB multi-card reader for under $10. Oh yeah- there is No Case and No Media card included. Someone mentioned in another review that there is a specialized USB cable...this is not correct. The included USB cable is a common "micro-mini" type USB cable that the reviewer was not familiar with, though commonly found on many small gadget devices. I bet they have them at Big Lots. Here are some nice things about this camera. 3X Optical Zoom - you won't find one for this price as of today's market. This feature alone was enough to make me decide to get this camera. The camera, for its price range does remarkably well. At 4 MP resolution, the camera stores *.JPG file types that are usually around 1 MB each in size. The Video feature really surprised me. You can do a pretty smooth 640x480 size video, which will eat 32 MB per minute. Set it to 320x240 size and one minute will eat up only 16 MB. The video files are saved as *.MOV Quicktime movie format. You would need to get a MOV2AVI or MOV2WMV file converting software to make it logical to email or post online. 16 MB is still a little large for one minute's worth in the email and web, but there is nothing wrong with the great quality of the MOV files recorded. In fact... I'm impressed again! The onboard MIC is terrific! Very sensitive, but the camera is not noisy due to no moving parts. It recorded deep low tones as well as natural sounding highs. It's nice and small, very inexpensive for a 4MP camera with 3X Zoom. (Digital zoom goes to 5x for a total of 15x zoom factor.) When the camera is turned off the telescoping lense returns to its flush position and a lense aperature cover closes protecting the lense. It also has some good setup and menu features. It's easy to hold and throw in your pocket, controls are simple and all buttons are easy to get to, but better do something about that battery situation as well as get some of those very inexpensive SD Multi-Media Memory Cards. My 512 SD Mem card will hold 30 minutes of video or about 471 each - four megapixel photos. (Double that for 2MP res, and so on.) You could hold thousands of 1 MP shots on a nine dollar 512 MB card. NOTE: Do not buy any device that uses SMART MEDIA memory cards. They are no longer made, and cost 36 cents per MB and have a max amount of 128MB - The SD Mulit-Media memory cards only cost 1.76 cents per MB - !!! I am pretty sure you could put a 2 GB card in this camera and get 1884 - 4 MB Photos or over 2 hours of video on just one card! I don't think I would waste my time or money on the optional docking station. There is little need for it, if any at all. If you are looking for a non-serious, good quality, easy-to-use inexpensive camera loaded with some unexpectedly good features... you found it! (We did the work for you.) The only reason it didn't get a Five-Star Rating is because it was not given to me and I had to buy it! !~τΏτ~! |
Great Camera!!!I bought this camera when it came out with the free starter kit. It takes great pictures and is so easy to use. I didn't even have to read the instructions to figure everything out.
I started using it with the batteries it came with and they did need to be replaced rather quickly. My free starter kit came with the rechargeable batteries, so I have no problems with having to replace the batteries! |
you get what you pay forPro - cheap to buy, movie mode with sound
Cons - small in appearance but bulky. cheap plastic feeling. Overall - after holding the camera for a few minutes, it feels cheaply made, and looks ugly, but what do you expect for under $100? It takes decent pictures, is sort of compact (but bulky), menu options are limited, scene modes are minimal. An annoying feature I found was trying to manually set the ISO setting. You press the Menu button, find the ISO setting, change it to 80, and hit the Menu button to exit (right?). Nope. After you set the ISO manually, you have to press the shutter button to lock in and save your ISO setting, not too intuitive. But then, when you turn the camera off and back on, its back to an Auto ISO setting. Apparently, your manual setting is only good for that picture moment. It's a neat feature, being able to set the ISO manually but not too cool when it doesn't save it permanently. Because of the cheapness, it went back to the store. |
Cute little cameraI really needed a digital camera, but kept putting it off because I thought I would have to spend a lot of money. Finally I decided to just see what's out there for around $100. After reading several reviews of Kodak's Easyshare line, I purchased the C433, mainly because that's what my local Walmart carried. That said, I have found this to be an easy-to-use, delightful little camera. Basically, you just turn it on, and press the shutter button... it does all the rest for you. I haven't really tried the different settings because Auto mode seems to do just fine. If you're like me, and you don't want to spend a lot of $$$, and just want to take a few pictures of your family, friends, pets and maybe a little scenery, this camera will do the trick nicely. The only missing feature is a viewfinder, but no big deal since the LCD screen is quite adequate. Oh yeah, and one more thing - there's hardly ANY delay between the time you press the shutter button and the actual photo-taking - wow. The only accessories I had to purchase were a cheap little memory card for $15, and some lithium batteries. Very worth it.
Exactly as expected. We bought 4 of these for gifts for teen-age grandchidren and they were very well received. The learning curve was short and they are all out trying to out-do each other with the best photos, often with suprising results. I would recomend at least a 1 Gig card and a battery charger as necessary items. No problems after 3 weeks.
Good little cameraNo fuss, easy to use, point and click... Excellent for a first time user! Or someone who takes pics for posting on ebay, selling items or just basic photography of kids, aunts and uncles at Christmas, and kitty frolicking among the tulips in backyard! It does take clear, crisp photos! It also takes videos and has a digital zoom. The viewing area may be a bit small, but for UNDER $100.00 this camera does it all and does it well. What more can you ask for the price! A great buy!
great product for great pricei bought this for a family member as their 1st camera.A great camera for the price and easy to understand
Great product from a great Amazon partnerI ordered this camera through the Endless Variety partner as a gift for Christmas. Of all the products I've ever ordered through Amazon, this product was delivered the fastest. The turnaround time was amazing. The price was exactly what I was looking to spend. The camera works great-it's easy to use and the picture quality is really nice. I'm thinking of ordering several more of the exact same one from this partner. I have to admit that in the past I have been a little skeptical of ordering from Amazon partners, but my experience was so great with this one, that I will continue to order from Endless Variety and also check out the other vendors that Amazon has on their site.
Very Useful and Compact!I bought this camera when my other one was crushed and every time there is a big event that happens, I take it with me. I love how easy it is to just turn it on and take a photo instead of having to go through a menu. It is simple to transfer to your computer, to share and edit photos, and its pretty small. The zoom is the only thing that caught my eye about being so short but for the price, it really isn't that bad. I highly recommend this product.
flaw in the screenmy problem is that camaras buys 3 easyshare c-433 kodak, one of which me salio with flaw in the screen, reenvio to be solved the problem and to date presents/displays I have not had answer if they are going to me to send another one or they are going to me to reimburse the money

Good camera, Kodak Easy Share C433The Kodak Easy Share C433 is an excellent camera, easy to use it. The resolution is very good (4 MP). And is a practice camera.

Good camara for the price.I bought this camara with the understanding that I wasn't going to get all the "bells and whistles" a lot of the other digital camaras have costing over $100 dollars, so I didn't have unreal expectations. So far, I'm very satisfied with it. The pictures are clear and it's easy to use. It has a decent number of options for different types of photos we want to take. The zoom works well, though not quite as clear when having to use the optical. I had to get use to the delay when it actually takes a picture, but that had to do with my inexperience with it. Night photos where surprisingly bright when standing at a resonable distance (about 3-7 feet) and bright scenes are approriately toned down on the correct setting. The only issue is not being able to find the right setting when there isn't enough light, the regular setting can come out a little to dark and the night setting can come out to bright. All in all, though, it's a good basic camara to begin with and will do fine until I'm ready to take the next step for more serious photography.

Purchased for my five year oldThis camera is simple and easy to use. I purchased it for my five year old and she loves it! The pictures that are taken appear on the screen until a new shot is taken. She loves that she is able to see her latest picture. I have taken video with it twice and when we try to see it through the camera the appears to be no sound. I have not connected it to my computer yet. I do recommend purchasing a sd card so more pictures can be stored. When comparing the new Fisher Price digital camera made for children I opted to get this camera instead. It has more features and for a few dollars more was well worth the investment.
Better than average camera at a great price! This camera replaced our Kodak DC120. The camera is easy to use and all the controls are self explanitory (if you have used any other digital camera you hardly need the manual). Going through the menus is quick - nice. The camera boots up in about 3 or 4 seconds, which STILL feels like an eternity when you want the pix NOW! You can half-press the shutter after a shot which by-passes the after-shot review, and take a shot about every 2-3 seconds. It's nice to play with the video feature, which seems to work very well and delivers a reasonable sound/picture quality. I experimented with various close-up and zoom features, and the camera has some difficulty obtaining focus about 70% of the time. Also it has some trouble obtaining focus in lower light situations. Hence the missing STAR - rated at 4 stars. If you like to take a lot of close-ups (closer than 1 foot) get a different camera. That said, if you take the snap anyway, about 60% of the time you still get a good pix. My overall take? BUY one, but buy a battery charger also. Great little camera. Eats NiCads for lunch. I used a 256M memory card.
Takes good pictures, but eats AA batteries!I bought this camera, as a Christmas gift for my daughter. The camera takes very good pictures, however it goes through AA batteries like crazy. Make sure you stock up on quality AA batteries, or get yourself rechargeable AA batteries. It is an economical choice for someone just starting out with a digital camera, or if you just need a descent quality low cost camera.
Great Camera! This is the perfect, easy, no fuss camera for someone who just wants great pictures. I wanted a lightweight camera that takes beautiful shots of my kids so I can throw it in my diaper bag and go without ever worring about missing that perfect shot. Uploading pictures has never been quicker or easier. A great camera at a great price.
Kodak EasyShare C433 ReviewVery nice little cheap camera. A little cheap with the permanent memory, but otherwise very nice.
Grainy pictureBought this before the holidays as a quick replacement when out other camera was being fixed and I must say the Kodak name has disappointed me. Two things I don't like - 1) there is not viewfinder, so on really sunny days you can't even see what you are taking a picture of, and 2) almost every picture comes out grainy and if we try to use the digital zoom, the picture is completely blurred. It seems others reviewers have really liked it, so maybe I just got a lemon. But I would say spend $50 more dollars if you can afford it and get a higher megapixel camera.
Great CameraI got this camera for my self cause i wanted a digital camera and did not want to take out a loan on the house to pay for it. like all other reviews the first thing you want to get is Re-Charge bateries, cause this eats regular ones like candy!!! also a bigger Memory card is a must. the camera is easy to use with many features that even those whol like the "big Guys" would be surprised with this camera can do.
it takes great pictures and play with all of the dift scenes and settings and get ready to use a camera that can stand tall next to those $300 cameras. in closing if you are looking for a great digital camera look here first cause this is a KODAK!!!!! |
excellent!I bought this camera to replace an older Kodak digital I got around 2000 and was very comfortable with. I was very pleased with the features for the price of this model, as well as the other reviews I read. I haven't had an opportunity to use it much yet other than a some quick pictures around the house, but so far I love it. It's very simple to figure out and gives excellent results. It does burn up batteries pretty fast, but only two at a time, so rechargeables are definitely the way to go. The drawback for me has been the EasyShare software, which I ended up uninstalling. It was too intrusive and slowed my computer down (probably my computer's fault more than the software). I prefer to just directly load the photos to my computer by putting the memory card into the slot on my computer and using other software to edit if needed. Overall, I think the camera is great and would definitely recommend it!
Great Little CameraGreat camera, easy to use - our 11 year old daughter has had no problem figuring out how to use it, and loves to take pictures with it. The 16 meg of memory is a little scant - only allows about 8 pictures at 4MP, 11 or so at 3.1 - so we will be getting an SD card to go with it.
Love the camera. |
Easy to useMy first digital camera. Its ease of use is why I bought it.
very good budget cameraThere isn't much to say here that previous reviewers haven't covered already. This camera takes some strikingly clear and vibrant pictures, has easy to use controls, has passable video capability (with audio,) and is cheap. I cannot comment on the Kodak software because I didn't bother to install it. Instead, I have been relying upon the USB cable to hook it up to the computer (Windows XP,) which recognizes it as a camera and even displays a corresponding Kodak icon. It works just like any other USB storage device. Therefore, if you have the slightest familiarity with how to move files around the various folders of your computer, it is questionable as to whether this reputedly kludgy software is necessary.
Like other digital cameras, it eats batteries. The included alkalines didn't fill the 256 MB SD card (240 shots at the maximum detail setting) even halfway before the camera switched itself off, meaning nimh rechargables are essential. Incidentally, this camera seems to be a little more sensitive to the battery charge state, but once I discharged them and then topped them off in the charger, the camera worked. Overall, I'm really pleased with how cheap and handy this model turned out to be, as I had expected something equivalently performing to the old automatic film cameras of ten years ago, but in actuality, even a run-of-the-mill digital camera like this one outperforms them significantly, with better image quality and obviously, much greater convenience. A good deal. |
Good Basic Digital CameraWe bought this camera for our kids, but it turns out it is better than the digital camera we bought 2 years ago at twice the price. I miss having a view finder although I am getting better at using the LCD screen to frame a shot. My only complaint is that they should have built it to take 4 AA batteries rather than 2 as the batteries need to be replaced quite often.
A great bargainThis particular model camera is no longer readily available at retailers, so I am glad to find it on amazon. It is a wonderful, high quality product for those just starting out in digital photography. Great price, too!
No complaintsI've enjoyed this dandy little camera -- easy to use with excellent results.
Value for money spent.I was looking for a digital camera that was under $100. dollars. I was surprised to find a Kodak. It may lack some things a higher priced digital may have but it still takes an excellent picture and that is what matters to me. I love it. Don't let the small size fool you. The seller was super fast. I received this in 2 days after I ordered it.
KODAK HAS BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME. STILL MAKES GREAT CAMERAS.I JUST LOVE THIS CAMERA. IT'S SMALLER THAN THE EASYSHARE C300, WHICH I OWN AND STILL USE. I JUST WANTED A DIGITAL CAMERA THAT HAS AN OPTICAL LENS. GREAT PRICE, LARGER LCD SCREEN, NO NEED FOR VIEWFINDER WITH THIS CAMERA. LCD SCREEN IS ON THE LEFT SIDE, CONTROLS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. MUCH EASIER THAN THE C300. YOU CAN MAKE MINI MOVIES, STILL PHOTOS, BUILT IN FLASH. USES SCANDISK CARDS. B&W, COLOUR, SEPIA GIVES IT AN OLD FASIONED LOOK TO THE PIC. COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED, EXCEPT A CASE. BETTER OFF USING RECHARGABLE BATTERIES. YOU CAN SAVE MONEY. LIKE ALL DIGITAL CAMERAS, BATTERIES ARE EATEN UP QUICKLY. BUY 4 AA RECHARGABLE. USE 2 AND KEEP THE OTHER AA'S WHEN BATTERIES ARE WORN RECHARGED. JUST BOUGHT 4 MYSELF. THE ZOOM IS REALLY GOOD. YOU HEAR A SOUND WHEN ZOOM IS BEING USED. LENS COMES OUT WHEN SWITCHED, CLOSES WHEN NOT IN USE. A REALLY CUTE FEATURE I NEVER HAD IN A CAMERA. GREAT PRICE, GREAT FEATURES, RELIABLE COMPANY, EASY TO USE. YOU CAN USE THE USB CABLE, OR JUST PUT IN YOUR MEDIA CARD IN THE SD SLOT ON YOUR PC TO DOWNLOAD. THANK YOU.
Pocket Camera that deliversI just wanted a "pocket sized" camera that I can take with me trout fishing. My requirements were:
1. Pocket sized 2. Be easy to use 3. Be "fast" so I can get the picture 4. Good quality picture for 4x6 prints 5. Good color quality 6. Not real expensive...so if I drop the camera in the river...I don't have a stroke. The camera delivers on all respects. The camera actually has more features (like the ability to adjust to various "scenes" than I expected. So I guess...it actually over delivered! |
Amazing ValueI was looking for a gift for 6-year old triplets who each wanted a "real" digital camera. I was trying to minimize cost while still providing a quality camera. This was it. The camera was $80 plus an $8.49 SD card. The triplets love it. The controls are easier to use than other cameras I have used. And it is not just for kids. This camera is for anyone who wants quality at an inexpensive price.
Superb Performance for its PriceFor $100 list price, this camera just performed phenomenally.
The image quality was quite passable, better than expected, amazing for such an inexpensive camera. It is VERY user-friendly: in fact, I didn't even need the instructions at all for most applications, was able to figure it out. Uses a standard SD memory card and gets surprisingly good battery life out of 2 batteries: as long as another camera I had that used 4 batteries. But I strongly recommend using rechargeable batteries, nonetheless, as with any reasonably powerful camera. A camera at this price range would be expected to have some shortcomings. Here are what I liked least: 1) Flash a bit strong in macro mode. This is undoubtedly why the camera defaults to suppressed flash in macro mode. The macro range is not bad for its price, but you have to be careful with the shooting angle if a close-up flash is needed so the pic doesn't come out as just a big bright blur. 2) Pics tend to be a bit high in contrast. Some may like this vivid enhancement, but the detail "in the shadows" suffers. Colors appear somewhat unnaturally bright. This is easy to balance out when editing. 3) Need a card reader. No big deal. SD card readers that connect to a USB port run about $10-15. I never really used the movie mode, so can't very well comment on that. It's also quite rugged. I've been less careful in handling it than with more expensive cameras, and it survived being dropped on hard surfaces several times. All in all, a superb camera for the price. Digital cameras have come a long way! |
Kodak easyshare c433 4mp cameraBought this camera for my 10 year old son. He loves it. We did upgrade the memory card to a 1gb because he takes alot of videos. The picture quality is very clear on both the still pictures and video. The sound comes in nice and clear. This camera is very easy to use both inside or outside. It does however go through batteries fast.
Practical little cameraWe bought this for our nine year old. It was inexpensive enough to give her a try at digital picture taking and printing. It works fine--long delay been ability to take shots is my only complaint. [...]
NiceI'm a first time digital camera purchaser so I know little about these cameras. I like it and could use it with little expertise.
Perfect for my purposesThis is a great camera. it is small and simple yet it does so much.... Yet the price is more than reasonable for it's features. I cannot complain and the quality of the photos is great.... sometimes though, i wish the display was a little larger but it's cool non-theless.
Average digital cameraI'm not sure why I bought this product, but it has served me well enough. I prefer my digital Canon though. Firstly, the lack of manual configuration annoys me, as well as the painfully slow review speed, especially at high resolutions. Seems cheaply build and assembled. Actual pictures are clear enough, but once again my Canon takes clearer photos faster and clearer at the same resolution.
For the price it wasn't a bad investment, but be smart and purchase a quality Canon instead. |
Clear PicturesAlthough I got this at Best Buy, this was a good buy. It's the lens that counts the most, not the megaplix. I dropped this camera on concrete and it still works! You get more for your money, with Kodak. Good quality and easy to use. I just wish my screen was bigger...perhaps will upgrade later to another model.
Very little battery lifeThis camera started out well enough. I did enjoy how easy it was to operate. However, I can now take literally 1 to 2 pictures on new fresh batteries and that is the end of the camera. I realize I can buy the lithium batteries that are suggested by Kodak, but I think I have invested enough in trying to get it to work and plan on buying a new camera!
Great Camera but Eats BatteriesGood point and shoot camera that's easy to use. I use it everyday in my function for work. Tends to go through a lot of batteries, though, even when the flash mode is turned off most of the time. I probably only get about 40 images per set of AA alkaline batteries, which is rather low.
Otherwise, I would definitely buy this unit for someone who wants a good point and shoot digital camera that's easy to use everyday. |
Very pleasantly surprizedBought for my daughters first digital camera. She has used it far more than I thought and is constantly messing with the adjustments and features. It takes great pictures for a point and shoot and has a very easy navigation system. The only drawback I have with it is that 2 meg is as small as you can go. For as many pictures as she takes, I would have liked a lower res level so it didn't take up so much room and it would be nicer for attaching pictures in emails. My wife has a more expensive Nikon point and shoot and in my opinion, my daughter has the better camera.
Perfect GiftWe purchased this camera for my sister for last Christmas. It was her first digital camera. She loves it and learned to use it so quickly and easily. She likes the pictures it takes. She has had no problems with it so far.
Yes!I bought this camera in july for $69 on Amazon and I have had no problems whatsoever. It is quite possibly the easiest piece of technology to use. It has a fast shutter speed, great pictures, a good zoom, incredibly good video and a large enough screen. It uses batteries pretty quickly, but buy some rechargeable AAs and you'll be fine. Also, you can't zoom during video and the flash is sometimes WAAAY to powerful. Once I took a picture in pitch black and it came out. This was not my first camera, but I get the feeling i won't be needing another for a long time.
Extremely pleased!!!Camera arrived in excellent condition approximately 36 hours after I placed the order!!! Granted, I live slightly close to the seller, I thought it would be at least 3 or 4 days before delivery. This is the perfect Christmas gift!
Nice camera for the price.Bought this as a Christmas present for my mom after getting my son one for his birthday. It's really easy to use and for the price it takes really good pictures. I recommend this camera to any digital novice.
Digital CameraCamera takes really good pictures and is easy to use. My daughter is pleased with it. Very fast shipping.
Kodak Warranty ProblemsThe camera worked great for several months but then, without warning, the screen suddenly filled with horizontal white lines during all modes. I obtained a return authorization from Kodak and shipped it their repair center. After three months of unanswered phone calls and e-mails to their repair center I called an 800 number asked them why it's taking so long for my camera to get repaired. They told me the camera's on hold for unspecified customer damage. That's nuts! The camera was well taken care, never dropped or exposed to liquids. One minute I'm taking a picture, then click, the screen goes all white. This is poor customer support, I will never spend another dime on Kodak again. The warranty is useless. Avoid Kodak!

kodak c433 easy shareA great camera, takes fine pictures for under $100. My 1st digital camera and my only complaints are that after using my SLR Pentax 1000 for years its hard not to have the viewfinder close to my eye, and its small size compared to the 35mm.

Kodak Repir ProblemIt a wonderful product, takes amazing pictures and easy to use. The only problem I had was with the company they contract out to for repair work. The camera worked great for almost a year but then, without warning, the screen suddenly filled with horizontal white lines during all modes. I obtained a return authorization from Kodak and shipped it their repair center. After three months of unanswered phone calls and e-mails, I called an 800 number asked them why it's taking so long for my camera to get repaired. They told me the camera's on hold for unspecified customer damage. That's nuts! The camera was well taken care, never dropped or exposed to liquids. After contacting Kodak to look into this they came through and I got my camera back the next week. They did an excellent job repairing it but negelected to return my 1gb SD card. Oh well, at least I got the camera back. If I hadn't pressed it with Kodak, I don't know if I would have seen it ever again.

Not worth it at any priceMy daughter received this camera as a gift. Koday Easyshare was supposed to be so great, but I don't agree. I am not a novice at taking pictures and have taken many great pictures with my Canon Powershot. The Kodak camera eats up batteries like mad. There is a delay between pressing the button and when the camera actually snaps the picture, which has resulted in many missed shots. It is very sensitive to motion and pictures come out blurry. On top of that the software that you use to download pictures (and you need the software to download, unlike the Canon) is a memory hog and bogs down my computer (2 different versions installed on two computers). Other than the camera being lightweight, I don't have anything good to say about it. I realize this is an older model now (not when we received it), but it's only two years old and I'm ready to pitch it because it is so frustrating to use.
