2007 Boot :: HGVT

Mr. Görlitz On the HGVT booth Mr. Görlitz presents some nice new innovations and concepts for the underwater videography world. The most intersting news for me was a new electronic control system, which allows to control two Sony HC1 camcorder absolutely synchronized. But why is this useful? 3D movies is the answer. In cooperation with GUN-LUX HGVT presents a housing for two Sony HC1 camcorder, which are controlled as would it be one. Together with a software package from digi-dat the two movies can be edited to be viewed as a 3D movie on a special TFT display with polarized glasses. The software can be used to edit the movie for a presentation on two beamers.

There is also some news for underwater photographers from HGVT. Most of us have asked theirselfes why camcorder do have the electronic LANC controls, but no electronic controls are available for the also digital cameras. Well, this might be changed this year. We saw a prototype of a usb control for the Canon 350D. The prototype is still in development and testing phase, but should be available sometime this year. It should be supporting all major digital SLR camera. So we hope to see that new gadget in the housings.
