Andi Voeltz with a new covershot in 1/2007
I am very happy that tauchen Magazine have again chosen one of my photos for the cover. After my dolphins appeared on the August issue 2006 this is my second cover shot for Europe's largest diving magazine. It shows a well-sized Tiger Shark, which I portrait in November 2006 in Bahamian waters. Amusingly the Seawhips in front of the shark were photoshoped more reddish by the art department, compared with the original image in our forums. This photo also marks the end of a camera era for me. It might be one of the last shots I took with my beloved Hugyfot housing and the Canon EOS 350D. Camera-wise it is time to move on for me and I will slide into the year 2007 and my underwater photography with a Canon EOS 5D. However, if you were lucky and talented enough to get published, please show up and write something in our “Members in Media” forum. We think you printed images well deserve it, to be prominently displayed on our homepage.
Hai Andi,
Congratulations for the new cover, what a great shot!
Ah, the tigers, what a fond memory... Anyone who's into sharks should join you on this journey, definitely!
We've just spent a couple days diving around the same sites where we went together in November 2005 and met quite a few grey reef sharks, but no tiger or hammerhead... We'll shower in fish oil before the next dives ![]()
We also got many new pictures published in various magazines, among others of course the French Plongeurs International for which some more of our pictures have achieved the cover. Our special on the Maldives (trip in August aboard the Horizon II) also got us some more double pages and altogether 2006 has been a very productive and satisfying year, to say the least. And well, there's more to come!
See ya soon in Düsseldorf and keep up the great work: no doubt you will be msot delighted with the 5D and I look forward to your first cover with it!!!

Thanks Phil, I like the Bahamas Flag on your post ![]()
