Antibes 2007: Subspace video housings

Antibes: Subspace
Subspace is another manufacturer we met in Antibes the first time, that is not in our database yet, unfortunately. Subspace offers professional video systems ranging from Betacam to new HDTV systems. Therefore subspace offers a housing for the Sony HDR-FX1 and the Sony HVR-Z1. This is housing is made of anodized aluminium. To reduce the total volume of the housing the battery packs for video lights are integrated into the housing itself. The optics used for the housing is suitable for macro and wide angle shots up to 90 degree and the max. depth is about 100m. The housing is available starting from´ 5'800 EUR.

For the smaller Sony HD camcorder HDR-FX-7 and HVR-V1 subspace offers the Mk2000 Pro housing, a successor of a housing for the Sony DCR-VX. This housing can be fitted with mechanical controls for white balance, filters, etc. on request. A flipable (15 degree) external monitor is also available for that housing. The housing will be available starting from 3'500 EUR.

Subspace does not only produce housings, but also video lights. The Videolight Pro uses a 50W Xenon Lamp with a color temperature of 3900K and an beam angle of approx. 60degree. It has a charge capacity of approx. 45 minutes and is available for approx. 650 EUR.
The Videolight "HID" Pro uses a HID lamp with a beam angle of 90 degree and a color temperature of about 5700K. The charge capacity is about 40 minutes. The Videolight "HID" Pro is available for approx. 1'500 EUR.
