“Aphrodite” Underwater Photography Competition
Aphrodite - a new underwater competition placed in Larnaka, Cyprus - will be held from June 1-6, 2009. Prices worth 20'000 EUR waiting to be won in six categories including underwater images and videos. About "Aphrodite" the Cyprus Experience Competition
"Aphrodite" 2009 is produced by David Pilosof, renowned underwater photographer and the producer of Epson Red Sea competition. "The Cyprus Tourism Organization rose to the challenge and allows us to run this prestigious competition where underwater photographers have the chance to win cash prizes. I am proud to invite you all to Cyprus, to take part in the competition and perhaps win the jackpot”, says Pilosof. Remember: we'll meet on Saturday night June 6, 2009 20:30 at Larnaka promenade. The winners of the competition will go back home with checks in the amount of 20,000 euro, 3 weeks diving trip to Papua New Guinea including air fare Singapore/Papua New Guinea/Singapore, Subal housing, BS Kinetics housing and other valuable prizes.
Hosting Hotel & Accommodations
The Competition’s main events will take place at Larnaka City and the production team will be based in Livadhiotis City Hotel, Larnaka. Special offers for accommodations at the Livadhiotis City Hotel are available through the web site.

Is there any such event planned for coming season too? I am an amateur underwater photographer and will like to participate in such events. This site is really amazing and I got variety of information about the underwater photography and even the variety of accessories available for divers. I will like to seek an expert advice and guidance in respect of photography and diving. Since I am from Thailand and in search of a good instructor, I hope to get the reference for the same here.
