Boot Show 2008 - An Exhibition Guide
Between the 19.-27. January the doors of the exhibition halls in Düsseldorf will be opened for Europas
largest water spLocation exhibition. More than 1.600 exhibitors from more than 50 countries will present their
newest products on the 39. International Boot Show to the interested audience. The 300 exhibitors for diving
equipment and related products can be found in exhibition hall 3 as every year. We prepared an overview of
manufacturers and dealers related to underwater photography and videography this small exhibition guide.
An interesting side note (that we noticed while compiling the informations for this exhibition guide): Almost the same number of dealers and manufacturers for underwater photography and videography equipement is going to present their newest products this year.

photo housing manufacturers
We expect some new gadgets and housings from the photo housing manufacturers this year.
As we already wrote in our Antibes report we expect Seacam to present their cool visor gadget
with remote control along with the new smaller digital strobe. Additionally we expect a
lot different housings for the Nikon D300 and the Canon 40D. Subal will present a housing
for the Canon EOS 1D MK III as well as a 10" dome port.

video housing manufacturers
At the booth of BS-Kinetics you will most probably find the recently announced 3D video housing,
which houses two camcorder to record the movie from two different angles simultaneously.
Sealux will present their universal housing UNM180 and a universal housing for Panasonic camcorder.
A universal housing kit can be found at the booth from Reefrider. Another manufacturer of universal
housings is Light & Motion, which will present the Top Dawg III housing, a HD housing called Stingray HD,
a new LED video light and a 3,5" external monitor.

strobe manufacturers
There are rumors that Hartenberger will present a strobe with an integrated TTL converter
from Heinrichs-Weikamp. Subtronics highlight this year will be a LED video light that will
extend the known strobe portfolio.
