Canon Firmware Updates

Canon has released new firmware versions for the EOS 50D, EOS 450D (Rebel XSi) and EOS 1000D (Rebel XS) digital SLRs. The updates are mainly related to the use of the camera in combination with the Speedlight 270 EX flash, except for the Canon EOS 50D. The update for the Canon EOS 50 addresses banding issues and specifically the "vertical banding noise phenomenon". Additional there are changes for the error indications that are displayed on the camera. The updates are available on the Japanese Homepage.
