CDF’2008: Wreckdiving the Superior Producer
Curacao's biggest Wreck lays in a depth of 30 meters, is about 50 meters long and wrecked so close to the island, that you actually can dive it by shore. It basicly sunk just in front of the safe harbour and today it is one of Curacao's best divesites. We had 2 excellent dives on the wreck – read on for the review and some pictures.
Today the Superor Producer is one of Curacaos most interesting dives … because it is big, because it lays deep and because there are lots of holes to enter. It also offers fantastic photo opportunities. Lots of angelfishes can be seen on the wreck, occasionally there are tarpons and in the shallows on the reeftop there are many squids waiting for the decompressing divers. The only difficulty: The entry can be quite rough, when waves are breaking on the rocky shore ... we struggeled a bit, but still we did the dive twice. And when you dive there: keep the windows of your rental car open and don't leave valuables – we saw lots of broken car glass around.

It is not the smartest thing to park your own booties on 30 metres as you will need them for the rough exit, when diving from the shore. Boat dives are recommended.

Nice pictures guys, must have been some great diving. I was in Curacao in December 07 and we were unable to dive the Superior Producer because of the ship traffic. Now I'm very sorry I missed it. I guess I'll have to visit Curacao again.
Today the Superor Producer is one of Curacaos most intriguing dives … because it is big, because it lays abyssal and because there are lots of holes to succeed. It also offers fantastical ikon opportunities. Lots of angelfishes can be seen on the wreck, occasionally there are tarpons and in the shallows on the reeftop there are many squids inactivity for the press different. The only sweat: The content can be quite uneven, when waves are breaking on the rough sustain ... we struggeled a bit, but comfort we did the descend twice. And when you swim there: rest the windows of your dealings car turn and don't yield valuables - we saw lots of unsmooth car glasswork around.

The Superior Producer is one of the few ships, that made people happy when it sunk. Because when the overloaded ship sunk in bad weather just in front of Curacao, it went down with all the Cargo. This Cargo washed up on the beach just after the sinking: Blue Jeans, T-Shirts and even Whiskey! How much more can you ask from a sunken ship.

Island's greatest Accident lays in a depth of 30 meters, is nigh 50 meters prolonged and wrecked so boon to the island, that you actually can diving it by come. It basicly unsuccessful righteous in frontmost of the harmless feel and today it is one of Island's prizewinning divesites. We had 2 superior dives on the wrack - interpret on for the critique and some pictures.

Watamula is a real healthy and grand reefslope with lots of good corals, huge sponges and many softcorals at the end of the swimming - it is zero contrastive from what see by beam, but the amount and the property of the reef is some prize. When we did the descend it was finished as a passageway descend with a really tenuous underway. In our view it is real the nicest reef on the island - and rightful a 5 proceedings boatride from Ocean Encounters Westerly
