New housings for Panasonic camcorder from Sealux
Sealux just announced two new underwater housings for the Panasonic HDC-HS9 EG and the Panasonic HDC-SD9 EG camcorder. Both underwater housings are custom-made aluminium housing which have a depth rating to 90m. For shots without a lighting system an internal filter can be used. The new developed infrared control IR 10 enables not only the basic functions like record, zoom and photo, but also the complete operation of the joystick navigation. That allows to operate important functions needed for underwater usage like white balance, IRIS, shutter speed and several more functions and this without any cable needed. There are no movable parts in the housing anymore through the introduction of the infrared control.
made of seawater proof aluminium, milled of monoblock CNC, hard-anodised and specially seawater resistant sealed. The camcorder is fixed directly on the tripod plate in the front part.
Monitor screen:
the high-amplified screen of optical glass enables the complete view of the swung out 7.6 cm large monitor at best protection against outside light. The viewing angle is in clined to the swimming position by 15°. The removeable sunshield protects against reflections on the glass screen. Enjoy your picture taking already in the beginning.
Lockings:
two quick-action closures with safety lockings against unintentional opening. Change-port system:
with bayonet and locker enables fast changing of flat port, wide-angle ancillary lens or fisheye.
Flat port:
of optical glass with changing bayonet, safety and cover. (standard)
Close-up lens:
can be swivelled to the front also with the wideangle lens at any time.
UW-Color correcting filter:
for picture taking without illumination the URPRO – color-correcting filter for blue water can be swivelled to the front.
Handle support:
with soft handles, detachable for the transport.

Wide-angle ancillary lens:
with dome glass of optical glass, coated, zoomable, shooting angle diagonal 76°, with neoprene cover.
Fisheye:
super wide-angle optics with dome of optical glass, zoomable, with neoprene cover.
Monitor optics:
enlarges the picture and reduces the eye-distance to the monitor screen.
Moisture indicator:
acoustic, optical, controls the well-being of the camcorder.
Stabilising wing:
for fixing the SEALUX light systems.
Transport case:
the transport case with minimal weight of only 2.6 kg allows the storing of the complete video system with SEALUX illumination. The dimensions of only 500x390x190 mm allow to be carried as hand luggage.
