New Ikelite housing for Nikon D40

Ikelite Nikon D40 underwater housingIkelite just announced the specification of the new Ikelite #6804.1 Nikon D40 TTL underwater housing. The polycarbonate housing can be taken down to 60m and features all function available on the Nikon D40 camera. The housing includes TTL conversion circuitry that puts perfect exposure at your fingertips. The TTL mode provides four 1/3 f/stop increments over or under flash compensation that is added to or subtracted from any compensation entered into the camera. Seven manual power settings in half-stop increments allow for complete creative control. All choices are obtained by simply rotating a knob on the housing back. The housing will be available in mid-march to a prize of about 1.400 US$.

Too bad all the housings that I have seen for the D40 seem to be sized and priced so as to not to really take advantage of some of the main features of the D40, low price and smaller size smile
