New sealux housing for Sony HDR-FX7E

Sealux just announced a two compact housings - the HX7 and the HX7 Pro - for the Sony HDR-FX7E and the Sony HVR-V1E/P. With these two housings two more HD compact camcorders can be taken underwater for creating high resolution images and movies. Both housings offer swivel filter and macrolenses and the known 15 degree viewfinder from Sealux. An external monitor is also available for these housings.

Housing:

made of seawater proof aluminium, hard anodised and the surface specially seawater proof sealed.
the camcorder is fixed in the front part.
3 quick action closures with safeties lock the housing.
the amply-dimensioned housing O-ring locks the housing axially and reliably.
all shafts are sealed twice.
all keys are even sealed fourfold.
the two handles are adjustable and detachable for the transport.
the housing carrying handle is also detachable.

Changing port system: Changing of the ports with bayonet closure and protection against torsion. Flat port of optical glass for standard optics of the camcorder (special accessory). High-grade wide-angle ancillary lens, with optical glass dome, for picture taking up to 90° zoomable (special accessory). Swivelling of filter or close-up lens in the front is possible with that. Fisheye coated, with optical glass-dome (special accessory). Swivelling of filter or close-up lens is not possible.

Close-up lens – NL3 – can be swivelled in the front of the housing (included in the housing price)

URPRO filter for blue water, of optical glass, can be swivelled in front of the housing (included in the housing price)
URPRO filter for green water (special accessory)

Viewfinder: is inclined by 15° to the swimming position for better viewing. Standard viewfinder of optical glass: complete picture control with minimal eye distance, eightfold enlargement. LDV-Viewfinder optics (Long Distance Video) enables the camera man complete watching of the picture at variable eye distance, with that it is possible to watch the surrounding as well as to control the picture. The highquality aspherical optics enlarges the picture of the viewfinder-monitor sixfold. The sunshield is detachable for the transport.

Functions: Electronical – easy, for reliable operation via push buttons. The functions of the SEALUX keyboard are independent from the diving depth.

Microphone: a high-quality electret-microphone records the under water sounds. With the HVR-V1E/P the microphone is connected to Imput 1.

Moisture indicator: acoustic plus optical with blinking LED controls the well-being of the camcorder.
