New Swivelling Viewfinder
Helge Suess presents a new swivelling 45 degree viewfinder, which was developed in a cooperation with UK-GERMANY. The first prototyp is a stereolithography which fits to UK-GERMANY underwater housings, but should be easily adaptable to underwater housings from other manufacturers later. If you can make it to the Boot show, you can have a look at this new interesting piece at the booth of UK-GERMANY. There it is mounted on the Canon 5D housing.
Does it make sense to use a swivelling 45 degree viewfinder? Discuss in our forum about your experiences or your expectations in this underwater housing feature.
Details
The design will be revised and is not fixed yet. The prism box will become more round and the cap will be designed more elegant. Helge tries to create a balance between design and price.
The viewfinder is planned as swivelling with a stops for certain positions. A first milled piece will be probably ready by next week.
The project is a cooproduction with UK-GERMANY with financial involvment. UK-GERMANY provided technical draws and data as well.
Ikelite is interesting in this viewfinder too and it is considered to talk to other manufactures.
