THE TUBE: new universal video housing for divers

Bruder The TUBEMediaSub introduces a new housing manufactured by Bruder. The new underwater video housing is named The TUBE. It hosts a huge variety of camcorders that do not exceed a width of 12 centimetres and 30 centimetre length. The tube is individually cut to avoid useless space inside that would make the system positively buoyant. Contrary to the usuall carbon-mix utilized by Bruder Underwaterhousings the new product is machined from delrin. All housings ship with an integrated 2.5 inch external monitor with separate power supply, to conserve the battery of the video camera inside and not having to unfold the cameras screen. Controls are supplied via standardized LANC or Infrared protocol. The modular system consisting of three components can also be equipped with extension rings or various ports for post-purchase upgrades. Also interesting is the price of 1.399 EUR for the basic version. More technical details can be found in the long version of this press release, which also includes some product photos.

Technical Specs:

Lenght: ca 25cm
Weight: ca 2,8 kg incl. 2 Handgrips (when housing has 25 cm legnth)
Inner Measuring: 12 cm
Outer Measuring: 14,6 cm
Monitor: 2,5 Zoll with 4x AA Batteries
Bouyancy depending on camera type, usually neutral
LanC or Infrared control
