Aquatica Housing for the New Canon 1Ds MK IV

Although Canon's new flagship camera, the 1Ds MK IV, has been released only recently, a compatible underwater housing is already available. Aquatica announces that their Canon 1DS MKIII is fully compatible with the 1Ds MK IV, which is considered as a blessed upgrade to Canon's pro line. The Aquatica 1DS MKIII housing is machined from solid aluminum, treated and anodized to military specification, ergonomically designed, carefully balanced, depth rated to 300 feet and most important - already out there!

Our World Underwater 2010 Announces the Winners

Thousands of entries were submitted to the Our World Underwater 2010 competition, which consisted of seven stills categories and two video categories. The judges of the competition released a formal state, according to which the level of images submitted this year was especially high, easily justifying nearly $50,000 worth prizes, including dive trips, underwater photography equipment, diving gear and more. In addition, 15% of competition proceeds were donated to marine conservation efforts. Seems that even the sea wasn't left empty-handed!!

Beneath the Sea 2010 Announces the Winners

Each year, Beneath The Sea provides amateur underwater photographers and videographers with a chance to compete with their peers from across the world and to win some valuable diving trips and live-aboards (which are basically a chance to take some more award winning images!). The winners of the BTS 2010 Competition were now announced and include Yeang H Chng from West New York, who received the David Doubilet award for excellence in underwater photography, as well as many other lucky talents.
