PT-020 Underwater Housing for Olympus C5060
This is one of two housings for the Olympus 5060 camera. In my opinion is a very cost-effective couple.
Infact the camera offers both the macro and supermacro focusing position (3 cm....) , a good definition (5 mega pixel) and manual exposure method. The PT020 housing has'nt small dimension, but underwater is easy to manage and offers a good hand position and stability. If you are able to find a good price for the housing and the camera (out of production...) i think that is a very nice choice moreover for the beginners....

Nice Flood
This housing has gained some notoriety due to its tendency to have the lower o-ring pop out if not aligned perfectly, which, due to its odd shape, is quite easy to do.
Chalk me up as one of the people this has happened to, and it was awful. Fortunately, my camera was insured, but sure enough, one of the overpriced o-rings in this camera came completely out at the corner, flooding the housing COMPLETELY full of water.
This was a year ago. I switched to Ikelite's housing for the 5060/7070 and have had NO troubles, and the customer service is far preferable to Olympus'. The Ike housings are more expensive, but not as expensive as having to replace a camera!

IMPRESSIVE RED
I ALWAYS GET AMAZED LOOKS WHEN I BRING THIS CAMERA ONBOARD. IT HAS NUMEROUS SILVER BUTTONS THAT CONTROL ALL ASPECTS OF THE 5060 OR 7070 CAMERA I HAVE USED IN IT. I HAVE NEVER HAD A LEAK AND HAVE BEEN BELOW 135'. THE LACK OF A LARGE STROBE IS CERTAINLY LIMITING BUT WITH ALL THAT MEMORY AVAILABLE IN THESE AND GOOD STRONG BATTERIES, I CAN TAKE A 45 MIN MOVIE OF MY DIVE. SIZE IS A DISADVANTAGE BUT IS EASILY CRADELED AS A BABY ON ENTRY AND THEN IT IS EASY TO MANAGE, GIVING A GOOD VIEW ON THE SCREEN OF ALL THAT IS GOING ON BELOW. IT SEEMS TO BE IMPORTANT TO USE A RAG TO CLEAN THE SEALS AND APPLY THE GREECE TO KEEP THE HOUSING WATER TIGHT. THIS CAMERA IS WELL SET UP FOR THIS APPLICATION AND WOULD BE EVEN BETTER WITH A STROBE.
