        <p>Hi fellow photographers,
</p>
<p>
Im an amateur underwater photographer, looking for a new compact camera. Here is my situation - my old configuration was an Canon S40 Powershot with a canon housing and a Sea &amp; Sea digital strobe. During a breakin the camera was stolen, but the theif left me with the housing and strobe.
</p>
<p>
I would like to utilize as much as possible from my old configuration - but I do realize I wont be able to find a camera that will fit in the old house. That leaves me with the strobe (incl. arm and base mount + strobe cable). So my goal is to find a new compact camera and housing that will fit onto the strobe base - which just requires a std. tripod screw and clear plastic in the flash area to fire the strobe itself.
</p>
<p>
Im considering the Canon G10 w. an DSC WP DC28 house to it, because the camera seem to be somewhat future proof (everything is relative). Does anyone have experience with a configuration like this? Im open for all suggestions and am not set on Canon as brand - but my experiences are good with Canon products. I also have an 400D but have decided not to buy a housing for this for price and size matters (The Ikelite is huge) as I will be using my gear for travelling.
</p>
<p>
All bids are welcome.
</p>

        <p>Hi all
</p>
<p>
Just wondering. I bought a new Canon WP-DC12 housing for my Canon A-570IS.
<br />
I removed the O-ring and went to a bearings shop to ask if a similar standard o-ring is available.
<br />
The standard o-ring size is 0,5 mm thicker, so, installed in the housing, should need to compress it a lot endangering the housing.
</p>
<p>
Does any one have experience with a standard O-ring or should I buy an original Canon spare O-ring ?

        <p>Hi everyone. I&#8217;m just getting into UW photo and after a lot of forum reading, have decided to start with a Canon A570.
<br />
I&#8217;m just having a problem now deciding what housing to go with. The ikelite seems like the better choice compared to the canon,
<br />
and I am not opposed to spending the extra cash to get it, but I can&#8217;t afford a strobe kit for it just yet. Whatever housing
<br />
I was going to get, I was hoping to use the internal flash for a little while while saving up for a strobe kit. Does the housing for
<br />
the ikelite block the flash so that it is unusable? Also I live in Hawaii, so the water here is pretty clear.
<br />
Any suggestions are most appreciated.
<br />
Thanks

        <p>Hi,
<br />
I just bought a demo WP-DC 8 and it came without user manual.
<br />
As I already have a similar older Canon housing I don&#8217;t think I really need it but would appreciate to have it in pdf if available.
<br />
I looked at Canon site and couldn&#8217;t find it to download.
<br />
Does anybody have it?
<br />
Thanks
<br />

        <p>Hi All :
</p>
<p>
Just wondering.
<br />
I´ve bought a new Canon A-570IS + Canon WP-DC12 Water Proof Housing.
<br />
The full set has a positive flotability of 68 grams in fresh water. In salt water, the positive flotability is even higher.
<br />
Besides of these, there is a separate set of weigths to make it negative flotability.
</p>
<p>
I understand that for the beginner, my case, I prefer positive flotability.
</p>
<p>
The builder does not know if the diver will use it in fresh or salt water, the question is why so positive (68 grams).

        <p>I&#8217;m using an Olympus C-5050 with Olympus housing PT-015, Inon Z-240 strobe, INON UWL-100 Wide Lens and INON UCL-165M67 Macro Lens.
<br />
Now I&#8217;m considering the idea to change my camera and I&#8217;m interested in the new Canon G-10. Even if it isn&#8217;t yet on the market I&#8217;ve heard a lot of comments, positive for the wide angle (28mm eq.) and negative for the amount of noise expected at high iso level (&gt;200ISO). Considering that I&#8217;m used to take photo at ISO &lt;100 I&#8217;m not troubled too much about that.
<br />
Do you think it&#8217;s a good choice to up-grade my system?
<br />
I&#8217;m in particular interested in the possibility to use the inon lens wide and macro. The Canon housing DSC WP DC28 hasn&#8217;t a 67mm thread but exist various 67mm adapter on the market (<a href="http://www.digideep.com/go?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.unterwasserkamera.at%2Fshop%2Fcatalog%2Findex.php%2FcPath%2F78">http://www.unterwasserkamera.at/shop/catalog/index.php/cPath/78</a>).
<br />
Someone knows if my Inon lenses (macro and wide) will be still usable with the new Canon G10?
<br />
Anyone have suggestions about alternative cameras<span style="font-size:14px;"></span>?
<br />
Thank you
<br />
Andrea

        <p>Hi. I&#8217;m finally going to switch to digital from my MM Ex II after 9 years of taking pictures with it. I&#8217;ve focused on the the Stylus 1020 and the TZ5. Does anyone have any experience with either of these underwater? Thanks
