I looking for a new video camera do shoot underwater. I go as deep as 60m and have some questions about which camera model i should buy. Do the cmos or 1 chip cameras work for this depth ? I hear they dont work so well in poor light conditions. Or should i go for the 3 chip cameras???

What if I used external lighting for say a sony HDR HC9, would it help???

I also would like to know, what is the basic equipment that i need to do some shoot, i just go shoot underwater about 1 meter, and other shoot is in water, but on top.

the final thing is, i can i get some stability in the shoots? i never use a camera in water before, because that i dont know the kind of movments that i can do.

Hi all . Just got a new camcorder Sony DCR-SR52E,i am going to purchase a housing for it,but i was not sure if any correction filters were needed.
I will only be using the camcorder for snorkeling max depth 5m.
Went on holiday to Egypt 2 years ago and loved it so much, spent more time in the water than in the sun, used my Fuji f30 for still and small videos, but they were limited, but i had some good results,so i would appreciate all the help i can get, wish i was 30 years younger, when i see some of the photography on this site.

Ciao,
Please I would want to know, which are the difference between camcorder (for example Sanyo Xacti, Samsung SC-X300L etc.) and a digit camera (for example Casio Exilim, Samsung Digimax, Sony M2. etc.) that records videoclips in format mpeg4?
Please you explain it to me in simple words.
Thanks to anyone want to help me.
