Connect Mac to PS3 via Ethernet?

Hi, my PS3 and Mac are in my room, on the same desk, my wireless router is downstairs. The PS3 is getting a poor connection (40% signal) sometimes cutting out which makes it hard to download PS network stuff. My mac has a solid signal.

What I want to do is connect my PS3 directly to my Mac using an ethernet cable. I just want to know how to get the PS3 to connect to the Macs connection through the wire. Apparently the PS3 needs to recognise the mac as a router?

Can somebody help me out please? Thanks allot!

Newbie with a Sony Cybershot and wondering about a strobe

I’ve been diving for awhile and taking pictures with a couple of Sony Cybershots without a strobe. Have actually gotten some decent shots, but very unpredictable. Not planning to spend big $$ for underwater photography but would like to now have a decent lower cost strobe to go with my newer Sony DSC W220. Is the single Fantasea any good or do I need to go higher, such as the Ikelite? Any help would be appreciated.

question for INON strobe users - flash infrared sticker/cover - needed? alternative?

Hi all,

I just bought a S95 with canon housing and will be using my INON D2000 with this system on my next dive trip.
I have a question for INON strobe users. As you know, these strobes com with a infrared sticker/cover that needs to be applied to the internal flash of the camera, to make sure it doesn’t cause any backscatter.

Now, on my previous camera (a Fuiji) I had attached this cover but found it annoying that I needed to remove/reapply it every time I wanted to use the camera above water. I was also afraid it would get ‘stuck’ in the interior of the camera when the flash went back in.

The S95 seems to have a very compact flash setup. I’m wondering if the cover will even fit. Also, I’ll probably use the s95 more often for above water photography/video (HD movies), and I’m wondering how others have solved this.

Any experience in underwater photography *without* this cover?
(I’ll use a lens mount with INON diffuser cap to attach the optic cable)

Any suggestions for a more flexible solution?

Thanks for any tips!

Help needed setting up Olympus E-620 with Inon S-2000 strobes

I have a Olympus E-620 in PT-E06 housing with x2 Inon s-2000 strobes - and I am trying to find out more about the Settings I need to make work Better .

Is strobe setting Manual or S-TTL better to use most of the Time ?
If using on S-TTL where do I put the EV switch on the Strobe (what Position)
Are there any special settings on the Camera I should have set when using S-TTL
Any other advise or info would be useful on the set up and use .

One other Unrelated Question the Macro setting on the E-620 (little flower setting) does this actually do anything , as I normally shoot underwater in M-mode should I use MACRO for shooting Macro (does it do something to lens like a Compact Camera)

Thanks
