Canon G9 housing wide angle issue

hi

was wondering if anyone had anyluck with the canon G9 underwater - I am thinking of the wide angle issue in particular- the camera comes with a 35mm lens at the widest and needs a enormous wide angle attachment lens on the surface to give it a 28mm range - I like the functions and control on the camera and the picture quality is superb, I hear that sea and sea is coming out with a housing, but very expensive, the orginal canon housing has one of these oval shaped lens port that is difficult to fit any attachment lens on....

any info or suggestion ?

Can annyone give me advice on what port i schould buy for my 12-24. The only test i can find is the one from 3 years back . In that test the advice is to use the nexus 170 mm port with 40mm extension but in the meanwhile nexus has a special port for the 12-24 and a new dome of 160mm in glass. But i cannot find any revieuws on these. I am affraid to buy something wrong. I do not want the lens to vignette or have the corners soft.Has anybody experience with this. PS my housing has style 4 thread

Underwater housing for Leica D-Lux 3

Does anyone have any experience with the Epoque UHC-LD3 Housing for the Leica D-Lux 3 camera? I realize it is expensive and has some drawbacks, but I love the camera and do not wish to hastle with the size of SLR housings. I have compared shots taken on land with the D-Lux 3 and compared it to the Sea Life D500 camera and Canon Digital Rebel. The Leica shots are far superior to the DC500 camera and better than the Digital Rebel. I would greatly appreciate some feedback before I make this sizable investment. Thanks! Steve
