Alexander,
What a great shot you have posted. I am really quite envious. What techniques did you use to capture this powerful image? Too bad it posted late. Your shot really deserves to be POTW.
Warm Wishes

Yeah, I couldn’t help but notice that most of the weeks votes were tallied when your pic posted. You should really look at entering this pic in some other photo contests because IMHO, it is a real show stopper. The fact that you were able to capture this shot with a basic setup and internal flash just goes to show that it is the person behind the camera, rather than the camera itself. Once again, job well done.
Warm Wishes

Jay,
i’m glad that you appreciate the photo qualities-details in dark and bright, performance, focus, composition and ect.Actually this is what we should rate, not the creature(view) in the photo itself if it is rare, beutiful, dangerous ...I’m talking in common, not qualifying my work.
What is “IMHO”?Probably i can find it in the forum here, but i don’t have quite time right now.Next posting will be suitable with your note and the circumstance here!
Thank you again!

Alexander,
My apologies for the use of internet jargon. IMHO= In my humble opinion. By the way, your comments in respect to composition couldn’t ring more true.
Cheers
