I have a point and shoot Canon S230 housed in a WP-DC600.  Im looking to purchase an Arm and Strobe slave.  I need recommendations on what to buy.

Thanks!

I would look at the Inon, SUNPAK and Epoque strobes. They normally
have arm systems as well.

Hi,

besides at what companies to look at, you should consider the following criteria:

- arm length should be at least 25-30cm (10-12 inches)
- you should be able to remove / disconnect the batteries completly (important for air travel)
- if you are using just one strobe it should have a broad lighting angle (not sure wether this expression is correct, though). What I mean by that is, that it should cover a large area.

To become a little more specific here, it would be good, if you could provide some more info (e.g. What kind of pictures you intend to take (e.g. Macro) and maybe how much your budget for this is.)

Regards, Marc

Hi,

I think for your purposes that looks like about right and I know some professional uw-photographers who like Sea & Sea so much, they even sell it wink.
The price seems to be quite ok, so I would be looking for something like that to buy for around 200 bucks. That should give you a fair deal if it´s in good shape and suit your needs pretty much.

Good luck,

Marc
