Hi everyone!

Our statistics revealed that more than 175 people out there are looking
for an underwater housing that suits the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2.

So far we only identified an ewa-marine bag that fits and is not 100%
targeted to rugged diving or extreme water sports. As there are so
many interested users out there since one year, we would like to
ask what happened meanwhile?

Did you find something we do not know yet and can you let others know?

If many of you are not satisfied with the current housing selection
and insist on a housing, we can talk to one of the manufacturers
to convince them to make a housing. But you will need to clarify some
aspects such as budget and main use for this accessories.

So please register as a user in our forum, if you have not
done so yet and voice up your needs and opinion wink Thanks!

Thanks,

Yes, i would like to bring my LX2 with me even in the open water, and my budget, ~USD200 for the housing.  Not sure if this too low or not.  As my estimation is come from about half price of the dc.

If it falls in this price range, i definitely will go for it, btw, i already owned this machine, and its bought me a lot of good pics.

Thanks

Now there is a housing for the Lumix!

http://www.fun-in.com.tw/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=24&products;_id=1103&osCsid;=a9ad5528fec2b1f61f20b94a71c3d238

Unfortunatelly the price is way to high.

I would really love to get an affordable housing for my DMC-LX2, too.  That would make a very small and portable travel package.  The Kastesa unit that Punkis mentioned may be just the thing.  The website he gave is in Chinese so the vendor must be based in Hong Kong, and the prices are in HK dollars.  With current conversion rates, it comes out to about $203 USD.

Unfortunatelly it’s not i Hong Kong dollars, it’s in Taiwaneese New Dollars, and that will be like 1520 USD.

1 TWD = 0.0309157 USD
1 USD = 32.3460 TWD

Hi,… sorry for the mess!

I just talked to the guy who is importing it to Europe.
From what I know now, Epoque quoted a prelimenary
price which was much lower.

We will correct this in the database asap!

Hi, does anyone know if this is now sold in Europe and if it is lress than 1500?

I am going scuba diving in March, so would love to buy a case for my Leica D-LUX 3. 1500 $ is way too much for me, so if it is still the same price I will need a recommendation of a good camera + underwater kit for around 500 to 600 euros. ANyone have any ideas?  I would also consider renting a kit, as not likely to go scuba diving again for at least a year or two..... I live in Paris, so would need to rent one here or alternatively I could rent something in Antigua, where I am going.

Thanks,

Darren

Perhaps you can ask http://www.UK-Germany.com when they can deliver the new housing, the price should be approx. 600 Euro.

Hi, we saw the housing on the BOOT SHOW 2008 and have pictures in
our German online-report from the show. Honestly I was surprised to
see the humongous amount of controls you receive for 600 Euros.
