What colour is a green water filter? I use a red gel for the tropics but will be diving in Tobermory, Canada soon.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob,

the green water filter is also a kind of red, but slightly different to the blue filter. It´s a little lighter, but you could use the one you have also in green water, though it is not optimized for greenish water. Since visibility is usually poorer in green waters you might have more difficulty in getting your camera focussed. The Green Water Magic Filter is very thin and therefore “consumes” less light. I have been using it for my last few dives in green water now and I was surprised by the good results.

Regards, Marc

GreenWater Filters (from Magic Filters and UR-PRO) tend to be a little
more purple, than the tropical version which has a red/orange tint.
