Hi Everyone,

as Nikon finally is full frame, let’s speculate about housing options here.
Also who is going for one of the two models? Or both? Let us know!

I will definately go for the D300 in a Subal or Seacam Housing for detailed Macro photography. 
I currently own a D70s in an Ikelite housing, so that’s good for my Fish-Eye’s and WA shots.

That doesn’t make any sense to me .. wouldn’t you want the cropped sensor on the macro to get closer and the full frame on the wide angle to get it wider ?

Do you really think the extra mega pixels will improve the quality of a macro shot that significantly ?

As long as I shoot 80% of my pictures in macro I would prefer the saturation and the color depth of the CMOS sensor which is equivalent to the D2Xs (still crop factor 1.5 as well) on the D300. The other fisheye and Wide Angle shots are more suitable for me when photographing wrecks and coral formations on the D70s.

I do not want to afford a huge amount of money on the D3 for the full-frame capabilities. Therefore I think a Canon 5D is more in a consumer price range. However, I’m not a Canon-guy.
