Good news for all who may want to upgrade their D200 Aquatica housings to fit the new D300. I spoke with Jean from Aquatica today, and he informed me that they will be providing a “Back Half Kit” to allow the D300 to be used in their D200 housings.  Although he stated ‘ due to the demand for the complete there is not enough available parts to due this at the present time, this will be offered in the near future and they back half will be “Silver” to match the D200 housing’.

Are you using the aquatica housing?  If so do you like it?  How is their customer service?  I am in the market for a new housing.  I live in Canada and would like to buy “local” if possible.

Yes, I looked around quite a bit before I purchased. I was torn between the Nexus and Aquatica housings. After looking into the cost of ports and zoom/focus gears, Aquatica was the better choice. They are about the same quality but I’m glad now that I went with Aquatica, because I do plan to upgrade to the D300. Big advantage to have live view while diving. As for customer service, well they were great to me. (short story) I ordered my housing through B&H;photo. B&H;sent me the wrong one (I needed the new 5 pin dual nikon) I was up against the clock on a trip to Cozumel, instead of Aquatica sending the correct housing to B&H;for them to then send it to me (B&H;was out of stock of the new housing) Aquatica sent the correct housing directly to me, even before they had recieved the old housing back. Now that is trust and customer service!! They have been very helpful every time I’ve contacted them. Go with Aquatica, you won’t be disappointed!
