I’m also very surprised. It’s a nice picture, but 57 votes within this short time!?!?!?!

The last weeks I realised a lot of cases there a new picture in the contest got 15 and more votes within a few hours. I could understand, that a really good photo gets a lot of votes, but normally this pictures get the votes step by step and not within this short period. At the most weeks there a lot of very brilliant photos in the contest there I can’t understand the reason why one of this photos gets 20 votes and another also brilliant photo gets just 2 or 3 votes.

If the voting system is not changing, it don’t makes a lot of sence to send photos to the contest....

This is getting ridiculous. Maybe the voting should be stopped altogether, and let the website adminstrators pick the 3 best pictures for example. Currently, the voting system is a complete waste of time when people simply “arrange” mass voting for their picture, regardless of how good or bad it may be.

I’ve to agree. It’s really time to change the voting system. I understand that people vote for their own picture, but sometimes when you see pics that’s only worth that “one” vote get 10 or more votes it starts to look strange. Especially when there are really good pictures that only gets a few votes.

It’s also very interessting, that the other picture “x-ray from a jellyfish” after the votes of the picture “artventure” are getting more and more also gets a lot of new votes. Looks now a little bit like a computergame, there one try to beat the other…

The madness continues   After the reset of the voting system, the same pictures like before gets a lot of votes. Could not only be a technical problem. Seems to be a human problem rolleyes

Well, Artventure clearly gets to many votes which originate from the same country and domain. Therefore it had to be downsized from 17 to 8 votes.
The other picture seems to be a “problem of taste” LOL

Anyway,… we will keep a close eye on the stats and disqualify some pictures from the voting if the self-promotion is not stopped.
