I have an Olympus 8080 in the Ikelite housing with the DS 123 strobe and have been messing about with custom whitebalance, but need some advice.
Normally for macro I set the WB to cloudy at depth and the strobe always fired, the shots were your typical ‘artificial’ shot. I have tried to use a white bit of perspex to set the white balance with the strobe going off at depth, but the shots come out with a green tinge and it’s proving hard to get rid of in CS. Why should the shot be like this, if the camera believes that the perspex is white when the strobe fires and the shot is taken in the same way, surely the shot should be the right colour? Someone mentioned I should be using a grey material to custom WB is this so, if so why, and could I then get decent shots using the strobe when setting the Custom WB.
A lot of questions I know but hopefully someone can help
