Just purchased the A710, and the canon waterproof housing.  Does anyone know whether it is possible to use a strobe with this camera, and if so which one(s) will work?
thanks

Hi Jim,

if you have the possibility to use the internal flash in the underwaterhousing you can use many strobes. you just need a strobe with the slave function. If you want to use also TTL, maybe have a look on the INON D-2000 or INON Z-240. Both strobes work with S-TTL via optical cable...I tried the S-TTL with the D-2000 and it was really amazing ... very good shots!

There is also a new Sea and Sea strobe. It is the YS-110 and is using DS-TTL (almost the same like S-TTL but developed by Sea and Sea). This strobe is also a good alternative. You just have to ask whether the YS-110 supports your Cam.

Greetings, Adrian
