FWIW a brand new PT-10 can be had for around $250 US in the US, as to the toll issue I am not sure.

I have bought things on eBay a few times.  Only two camera related items.  One was a Nik V “that was only used a couple of times in fresh water” according to the auction, and of course it flooded badly the first dive.  I had it repired right away on my trip, and the internal o-rings were obviously old and corroded.  Really my fault for (1) belieivng that it was only in fresh water and (2) that it was just serviced.  To the credit of the store whose auction it was, they took it back right away since they were holding it on consignment and advertised what they were told.

The second was a lens that turned out not to fit my camera, it was theSeller’s mistake, but no problem returning it to him.

Noth these people I would buy from again nased on how well they handled the problems.

I have heard so many horror stories though about some htings, so always keep an eye open.

On the other hand thller seems to be a power seller which means they have to have a good reputation to be able to maintain that.  Check out their feedback and this one may be safe.

Good luck

Let me know how it goes.

Ebay is always caveat emptor.  However… there a LOT of real equipment houses now advertising on ebay.  I have made hundreds of purchases on ebay over the past 3 of 4 years and have only been burnt 2 or 3 times.  The amount of money I have saved has vastly outweighed any loss I have taken.

Now that I’ve said that, I would definitely use ebay to buy a housing and/or camera from a real photo shop/company - they often have better pricing on ebay than if you just call in as well!

I have a Sony TRV-900 3 chip CCD Digital Camcorder, Light & Motion Stingray II Housing and a pair of HID lights.  My son Josh (11) had a C3030 & Olympus Housing (we sold it) and we’re looking for a new camera/housing for him.
