Thankfully, Photoshop is not the only graphics program on the market.  It was done using Corel Painter and a Wacom graphics tablet.  oh and skill

its a good point that photosop isnt the only graphics tool oin the market ... but… as a market leader .. just like the word Hoover describes most vacuum cleaners .... Photoshop seems to now describe the art of post editing digitally

Hoover Vacuum cleaners had 1 function. Guess people picked up on the word after a while.
Graphics programs thankfully do alot more than 1 function.
Individual people (like myself) are more passionate about what programs they use and would not like to be generalised into the market leaders programs.
If i post produce something in Paintshop Pro, its wrong to say it was done in Photoshop.
Like if I render an image using 3D graphics program like MAYA, its wrong to say I used 3dStudioMAX skills on it.
Adobe Photoshop is a fantastic program and I use it all the time.  Painter is a fantastic program and I also use that.  In a sence they are really different. One is an image processing/graphics program and the other is a expressional art program.

What im trying to say is i dislike generalising things like software programs.

my point .... was .... and sorry for upsetting you ... was that people whatever program they use often just use the term ... as in ..

“ I photoshopped that image” ... now you may not ... and thats your vocabulary choice .. but many do ... many who havent even got photoshop ... and photo editing software has 1 purpose as well .. it depends on how general you want to get ....  i could probably mention 10 things vacuum cleaners do.
