I was told by Nimar that they had a domeport for Sigma’s 10-20mm. That is NOT correct. They do have port for Nikon’s 10,5mm and mayby Canon’s 10-22mm. But the Sigma lens has too large diameter for the superwide port. My local diveshop have email’d Nimar today and told them to modify the port. we did some messuring and found that it would be ok to make the opening in the bajonet mount bigger so it can fit the Sigma lens. I hope the Italian’s work fast since i need the house the last weekend of this month.

I will come with an update when i know more.

Hi Kennenth,

I did not know that Nimar makes Domes which are
fitting the SIGMA 10-20 lense. I would love to see
a picture of your rig. You can use the image upload
feature (attachment) in the POST REPLY screen.

Would be happy about your input and some results.

The housing weight’s much less than the one i have for my EOS 5 (NOT D)
From Ikelite.  But i have to say. The clamps for locking the house feels
better than the one’s from Ikelite. (Not that i haven’t bin happy with it)

my domeport was here.

Also it comes with a great little tool for attaching the handles.

thanks for the insides kenneth.. the dome looks cool.
Have you had the time to dive with your new baby wink?

I wonder about the sharpness of the images with the
10-22mm and that dome..

Hi.

I just came home from Sweden.
Because of equipment falier i could
only do snorkel dive.

(The falier was that my local dive-center had me
hook’d up with a weight-belt way to light)

So i was like a balloon on the surface :-(
I will try to upload pictures later.

I will try to get time off during the summer
to go diving with Henrik Kjellberg and
tjek up on the gear before I’m in the water.

I think they are ok to.

Especially considering that the camera
was set to “point and shot” the 350D with
the Sigma lens does a pretty good job.
(cant wait to get in the water with
more weight on my waist to get me
under the surface)

Kenneth

Here’s a picture of me.
And one of my divebuddy.

It’s a bit strange. there are 801 views on
this topic and only 2 of them wrote a comment.

If any of you have any experience with
Nimar SLR housing’s please tell us the story.
