gday all. Keen to get my camera into the shallows and not not keen to spend a fortune I picked up a EWA U-FX underwater housing.(got it on ebay for a steal) Anyway, I want to use my canon 350d but cant use the AF 18-55 kit lense because in order to focus it it needs to move forward ie the lense gets longer which it cant whilst its in the housing. In the instructions it says that if you want to use an AF lense you just need to get an adapter - item number AV 80. Will this enable me to use this lense? Or do I need to get a lense that focuses without getting longer. I do actually have one - a new sigma 17-70mm 2.8 but the problem is that this has a 72mm filter size and the port on the housing is 67mm, it comes with adaptors for smaller filter sizes gut ofcourse if I use this in the bag i get a nasty black circle around the image. So, do I need a new lense? or just the adapter? or should I chuck it all in and spend a fortune on a real mans housing??? Cheers guys, love your work.
