Does anyone know why Panasonic video cameras are conspicuous by their absence from Ikelite’s housing coverage, and for that matter, from the coverage of most housing manufacturers?

On paper at least, Panasonic seem to produce consumer and pro-sumer vidcams with a significant level of manual controls (certainly compared to Sony), not to mention 3CCD cameras, that would be extremely useful underwater.

Unless Panasonic have very poor market penetration (and I have seen nothing to support this possibility), I can’t really see why they are not catered for.

Conspiracy theories (if entertaining) just as welcome as insider knowledge!
