die Photokina IFA 2007 steht vor der Tür und viele von Euch harren bereits aus, um zu schauen, was
die Kameraindustrie dieses Jahr wieder für technische Spielzeuge auf den Markt bringt. Uns haben
soeben sehr interessante Neuigkeiten über die von Canon eventuell bevorstehenden Modelle:
durch einen anonymen Tipp erreicht. Weitere Details findet in unseren Online-News in der
Meldung: Canon 40D und EOS 1Ds Mark III im Netz. Wir würden uns freuen, hier eine
interessante Diskussion zu den Gerüchten entfachen zu können. Ich persönlich glaube, dass
sich die Gerüchte bald durch eine offizielle Pressemeldung bestätigen werden.
Also über die 40D wurde ja viel gerätselt, aber das Canon so einen Kracher landen wird ...
damit hat keiner gerechnet. Ich werde mir die 40D nächstes Jahr (endlich Ausbildung zu Ende, juhu)
als “Landkamera” kaufen. Ich denke mal mit beiden Kameras hat Canon wieder gezeigt, wer der Herr
im Ring ist. Ich bin mal auf die ersten Ergebnisse gespannt.

hmm vielleicht habe ich es beim überfliegen der fakten noch nicht
so richtig geschnallt, aber was ist denn jetzt an der neuen 40D wirklich
so toll. Ok, es ist halt eine Weiterentwicklung, aber ich sehe aus der
LiveView nicht so richtig, was SOOO großartige Neuerungen sind…
Also was ist/sind denn für Euch die Highlights der neuen Kameras, gerade
in Bezug auf den Unterwassereinsatz.
Wirklich toll ? Nix ...
Aber es wird auch kaum die Kamera neu erfunden werden
Viel lieber hätte ich ne Mark III und ein passendes UW-Gehäuse samt Blitz
der die 10 Bilder/s auch mitmacht ...
also mich haut die 40D auch nicht wirklich vom hocker.
live view brauche ich nicht wirklich. und das minimal größere display hat nur zur folge, dass 30D gehäuse nicht weiterverwendet werden können ...
2 megapixel mehr bringens auch nicht wirklich.
interessant wäre es, wenn man für gehäuse nur eine neue rückwand kaufen müsste und somit upgraden könnte.
Für Europa extra teuer oder was? Dann flieg ich doch lieber schnell mal
in die USA....mach noch nen coolen Urlaub...und hab noch was gespart!

Normalerweise ist dieser Preis nur durch die Briten, die
nix besseres recherchieren konnten bedingt. Ich denke,
wir werden schon bald “übliche” Marktpreise sehen.

Larger, bright viewfinder
Frame coverage remains the same at 95% however magnification goes up from
0.90x to 0.95x, in use this is clear to see, indeed it would be fair to say that the
EOS 40D’s viewfinder view appears as large as that of the EOS-1D Mark III.
It’s a noticeable improvement.

Besonders UW nicht zu verachten…

RAW and sRAW
In sRAW mode you capture a RAW image which has about a quarter of the pixels of a

Adding to the improved virtuosity of the images captured by the EOS 40D SLR is the camera’s
14-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) conversion process. Able to recognize 16,384 colors per channel
(four times the number of colors recognized by the EOS 30D SLR’s 12-bit conversion capability),
the EOS 40D camera is able to produce images with finer and more accurate gradations of tones
and colors. The EOS 40D also incorporates the optional Highlight Tone Priority and High-ISO
Noise Reduction functions first introduced earlier this year with the EOS-1D Mark III Professional
Digital SLR.
-> Hiervon verspreche ich mir viel und ich glaube das wir hier besonders im “Freiwasser”, bei “Sonnenbällen”
und ähnlich kritischen Situation davon profitieren werden.
Meiner Meinung nach stellt die 40D eine sehr ausgereifte Weiterentwicklung mit zahllosen Detail-
verbesserungen und den oben genannten Hauptfeatures dar. Natürlich ist der Sprung von einer
30D kleiner als der von einer 300D.. aber das ist ja auch logisch…
Nach der enttäuschenden Entwicklung 20D zu 30D mal wieder ein echter Kracher.
Dann flieg ich doch lieber schnell mal in die USA....mach noch nen coolen Urlaub...und hab noch was gespart!
