the camera canon G9 fit in the housing of the G7, you can access to controls on the top of the camera, but the controls on the back have moved by something like 5mm. The control wheel is accessible, but the button on the cross are not, so you lose all options to change the settings.

I was wondering if Ikelite could just supply a back-plate for the Ikelite G9 who also fit the rest of the ikelite G7 housing but the dont answer back when I write to them.

At present, Ikelite do not offer a G9 backplate for G7 housings (or a G7 backplate for G9 housings for that matter.  According to their website, the control placement is different (as you note) and the TTL circuitry is also different.

Whether Ikelite could offer a conversion of G7 housings to G9 is debateable, but at the moment, the fact of the matter is that they do not offer such a conversion as far as I am aware.  There may be a good mechanical/engineering reason why this is the case, or it could be purely commercial.  Either way the result is the same.  If you upgrade from the G7 to the G9, you also need to upgrade your housing.
