I am brand new to UW photography and just got the SEASEA MDX-40 with twin Y250 pro flash guns would like advice on following:

1. what are the best arms to use for strobes short or long for WA and Macro
2. what is best for macro one or two strobes
3. On Live view using P , TV , AV. M with my Cannon EOS 40D I cannot get strobes to fire activate but if I use through viewfinder they function

Look forward to any feedback

Hi Mal,

welcome to DIGIDEEP.com - here are some useful peals of wisdom for you:

1. I would go the medium way 8 inch segments do fine for macro and wide angle.
Go and buy four or six segments that you connect through clamps. I recommend ULCS.
2. Two strobes will help you to eliminate shadows and backscatter.
3. Underwater you should generally try to shoot manual mode.
