Hi,

I came across onderwaterfoto.net and see that amongst other digideep competition entries, this site has my entry and is tring to palm it off as their (Joost’s) own picture along with a watermark from their website! see http://www.onderwaterfoto.net/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=35

It also appears that the site owner is more than willing to provide “high res” copies to anyone who asks for a copy!
The site is also using underwaterphotography.com’s copyrighted logo! see http://www.onderwaterfoto.net/page.php?1

The site owner claims to be a PADI instructor and teaches PADI underwater photography courses. I wonder what PADI will have to say about this practice of copyright infringement by one of their instructors - I’ll be finding out shortly…

Anyone who has entered into photo of the week on digideep might want to check to see if their photos have been put on there along with the site’s watermark.

Is this site/person associated with digideep?

it looks like we will have to investigate this. Currently I can only say, that
I hear the name of that website and Joost Wenderich for the first time.
I will double check it with the rest of our team however.

Maybe I have met the person during a Dutch PADI D.U.P.
training but currently I do not recall the name.

That’s my website! I never use any images unauthorized! At least I try! We had some nasty things before. People were sending their images claiming that they were theirs. Later we found out they stole them. We removed them straight away!

I will remove it straight away!

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people sen images and we can’t check them all.

PS: The logo thing is removed too.
