I’m using an Olympus C-5050 with Olympus housing PT-015, Inon Z-240 strobe, INON UWL-100 Wide Lens and INON UCL-165M67 Macro Lens.
Now I’m considering the idea to change my camera and I’m interested in the new Canon G-10. Even if it isn’t yet on the market I’ve heard a lot of comments, positive for the wide angle (28mm eq.) and negative for the amount of noise expected at high iso level (>200ISO). Considering that I’m used to take photo at ISO <100 I’m not troubled too much about that.
Do you think it’s a good choice to up-grade my system?
I’m in particular interested in the possibility to use the inon lens wide and macro. The Canon housing DSC WP DC28 hasn’t a 67mm thread but exist various 67mm adapter on the market (http://www.unterwasserkamera.at/shop/catalog/index.php/cPath/78).
Someone knows if my Inon lenses (macro and wide) will be still usable with the new Canon G10?
Anyone have suggestions about alternative cameras?
Thank you
Andrea

Hi Andrea

From recollection, the Inon wide angle adapters for point and shoot cameras with 35mm widest angle lenses are different from those with 28mm widest angle.  If your 5050 is not a 28mm wide angle, you may find the wide angle adapters you have don’t work with the G10.

Not sure about the macro adapters.
