Hi All,
Just joined up! Anyway, I currently have an older Nikos S3 Pro point and shoot camera with a housing.
I got it all at a real deal and its rated to 130 ft. However, its getting on and I am looking to replace it.

My searches seem to show that there are a lot of real cheap “beach cameras” good to about 10 feet.
However, as soon as you want to take the next step up there is not a great selection. I don’t want to sell my car to get some gear, but I also don’t want a beach camera.

Sony has a few options but I was wondering if anyone out there has any recommendations? I would prefer something that is good for all round shooting too. I like the Canon sx10 IS, but Canon does not make a housing.

Any info or opinions you have would be appreciated.

Cheers!

It’s probably a good starting point for you, with a variety of price ranges.

Please let us know if we can be of any assistance during your research.

All the very best,

Thanks Sterling,

I read the article and have purchased a Canon G10. Next month I will get the Canon housing for it. My wife and I are heading to the South Pacific in late October and will get a chance test the system there. So far though I am very pleased with the above water shots I have taken. It is my first foray into shooting RAW.

Thanks for your reply.

Cheers,

Raro
