Did anyone try the new Canon 100 macro “L series” lens underwater ??? How does it compare with the standard Canon 100 macro ???

Thank you very much for your input and comments !!!

I have not tried the new 100mm L glass Canon macro, but have a couple of other Canon L glass lens and they are spectacular.  The 24mm L glass lens is great and gives me outstanding sharp images.  I use it most for landscapes and have had it in my Ikelite 8” dome port though Ikelite will tell you it won’t work, ha.

In spite of the superior image quality I get from my two L glass lens, I am not sure I would ever consider replacing my two 100mm macro lens with the new L glass 100mm macro.  We shoot the two 100mm macros with a 30D and a 5D, Mark II and get some very sharp images.  Just not sure the extra cost of the L glass would be worth the change.

Hope someone with experience with the new L glass 100mm macro can answer this question.
