I just got an e-mail newsletter from 10Bar which states they are planning (subject to change) to make a housing for the Panasonic GF1.  Customer interest could help make this happen, here’s the email address - let ‘em know you want one.

Thanks for the link. I have put my request in.
Out of interest, what are your views on the lenses that you would use with it? I have have a look online, and can see that there is a wide angle available, but couldn’t see any mention of a macro lens.

Regards
Libby

10bar’s GF1 housing fitted with (compact) dome or flat port for resp. Panasonic’s soon-to-be-there 8mm fisheye and Leica’s 45mm macro would be quite a nice setup I think.

The 10bar housing for my Lx3 has a 67mm port which means I can use my “wet” macro and wide angle lenses on it.  If they make a housing for the GF1 with a 67mm port, I’ll try my lenses first. I also have and old Nikon close up element that fits on the GF1 kit zoom.

UnterwasserKamera (an austrian online dive shop) has the 10bar housing listed for 790€, incl. port for the 14-45mm kit-zoom. Can’t tell though whether it’s possible to screw on any wet lenses? There’s no specs yet on 10bar’s website.
