Jeff Mullins’s Underwater Leak Detector

Jeff Mullins, a digideep member, has redesigned his Underwater Camera Housings Leak Detector into a much smaller package, which now consists of only two small modules. The great news is that the improved Underwater Leak Detector is now compatible with the very popular Canon G10, G9 and G7 genuine housings (WP-DC28, WP-DC21 & WP-DC11), as well as many other housings. It comes complete with everything needed in order to assemble it in the housing within less than 5 minutes. Furthermore, in these days of ever increasing prices, this new Underwater Leak Detector is offered at a much more affordable price.

------------------------------ Official Press Release ------------------------------
The Underwater Camera Housings Leak Detector is an electronic device that has been designed to serve as a warning in case of a leak or excess moisture inside underwater camera housings. The unit warns the user with a flashing ultra-bright LED (Light Emitting Diode), that is visible from the outside of the housing and it is very easy to install in almost any housing. It comes complete with full-precise instructions for the photographer to install in a few minutes, as absolutely no tools are required for installation.

Battery
The Underwater Leak Detector comes with a new button cell (3 Volt - CR2025 or CR2023) which lasts for approximately one year, even when it is left in the Leak Detector.

Testing the Unit
The good news is that you don't really have to wait for a leak in order to see if your Underwater Leak Detector works. Instead, it is possible to test the unit prior to installing it inside the camera housing.
Testing the circuit is done by placing a damp finger on the copper lines, which should make the LED (Light Emitting Diode) begin flashing. Touching it again will turn the LED off, and the unit is now ready to be installed inside the housing.
Compatibility
The improved Underwater Leak Detector is compatible with a variety of underwater camera housings, including:
